Event: BCCES Advisory Board Meeting

The Inaugural BCCES Advisory Board meeting was held at Winterbourne House in Birmingham on 13th March 2014.

All members of the Board were represented and the half-day meeting was used to:

Discuss the role of the Board

Discuss the BCCES vision and its management structure

To present the strategy and progress of BCCES and discuss forward planning

To receive input from the Board on research strategy and support for BCCES

The meeting was successful in its aims and raised some important questions for the development of BCCES. There was also an opportunity for the Director of BCCES, Professor Yulong Ding to introduce a new paper of his entitled 'Load shifiting of nuclear power plants using cryogenic energy storage technology' which has been published in the  Applied Energy journal.

The next BCCES Advisory Board meeting will take place in around 6 months time.
