The Lima-Callao area has a population of 9 million andan economy worth US$66 billion in 2014. The preliminary results of our research indicate that the total energy bill for the city was US$4.7 billion and that the bill for waste and water was US$50 billion - meaning that 8% of everything earned in the local economy was spent on energy, water and waste.
Event: Supporting Supply Chain Resource Sustainability

CLCF was involved in a workshop that brought together industry and academia to discuss the vision and programme of supply chain resource sustainability research which will be part of the new Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre (AREC) at the University of Sheffield.
The objectives for the workshop were:
- To see opinions from industry about resource supply chain issues
- To identify key collaborative areas, capabilities, methods and tools around supply chain resource sustainability where academia can offer research expertise to industry in order to naddress resource supply chain challenges
- Introduce the Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre
